In Georgia, buildings are divided into classes by risk, and the class determines the permit procedure and timelines. Class I (up to 60 m²) is the simplest — with a simplified permit; Class II (60–500 m²) is the most common for a private house design; Class III (500–6000 m²) covers large-scale, multi-apartment and commercial buildings.
